Position: Field Service Technician / Engineer
The Field Service Technician is an integral team member to reACTIV Laser Systems. This position contributes to the company's success through customer interactions of preventative maintenance, repairs and installations of industrial laser marking, engraving and welding equipment. Technicians will work both in the office and remotely at customer facilities where they manufacture products in numerous industries throughout the United States.
Typical laser equipment consists of scan head based lasers with windows control systems and material handling systems such as; servo systems for part / laser positioning, PLC controllers for automated processes, material handling, vision inspection, vision part location, integrated tooling etc.
Job Duties:
Conducting high quality, efficient and timely repair, maintenance and installation of laser machines
Recommending modifications and improvements to machines, equipment and processes
Training and instructing customers on service, repair and proper operation
Using software and electrical tools to isolate issues, repair laser systems and identifying permanent solutions to customer issues
Utilize mechanical measurement and calibration tools for laser system alignments & validation
Process laser optical alignments for power, beam quality and optical to mechanical alignment
Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basis
Traveling to customer sites within the continental United States
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Formal education or training in troubleshooting, repair and installation of industrial / automated machines preferred
Experience troubleshooting and repairing A/C & D/C electrical systems.
Ability to work independently, a go getter that finds the next task or opportunity
Critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure vehicle insurability
Business travel @ 50-75% with company credit card or expense reimbursement
Communication & customer Service Skills
Meeting with customer to determine the nature of the service or repair
Communicating evaluation results, status and action plans
Completion of appropriate documentation

Position: Laser Engraving Technician
The laser Engraving Technician is an integral team member to reACTIV Laser Systems. This position contributes to the company's success through daily processing of laser engraving of customer products. Laser Engraving Technicians will work in house at reACTIV Laser Systems facility in Lees Summit, MO.
Typical daily activities include utilizing multi axis YAG, fiber, Ultra Short pulse and Co2 lasers for marking, engraving and texturing customer of customer products. These products encompass industries ranging from aerospace, automotive, tool & die, plastic molds and much more.
Job Duties:
Ability to utilize 2D / 3D CAD systems for programming of laser systems
If no prior experience, training is available if comprehension is validated.
Setup and Operate 5 axis laser systems for marking, engraving and texturing
Read job instructions and prints for programming of laser engraving requirements
Processing first article part, inspection of part to print requirements and documenting process
Exception accuracy and consistency on a daily basis to ensure quality customer parts
Maintain high attention to detail for laser engraving data, information and location
Perform daily / weekly maintenance on equipment
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Strong math skills in geometry
Mechanical aptitude in precision measuring, alignment and location
Ability to utilize common measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc)
Understanding of material selection, difference, process suitability and performance tradeoffs
Working within a team as contributor
Ability to multi task and work on tasks within multiple areas of production
Ability to lift 50 lbs
